CX-SV (Sliding Valve) Cement Retainer

The CX-SV is a cast iron squeeze packer, which is hydraulically set, eliminating the requirement for a large OD bow spring mechanical setting tool.

Once the CX-SV is set, the sliding valve can be manipulated; opening the valve when stung into the packer and allowing for squeeze cementing or pressure testing below the plug. Unstinging from the packer closes the valve, allowing the plug to provide a mechanical barrier. Once released from the plug, a slick stinger remains which is ideally suited for cementing operations.

The CX-SV, which has a 300°F temperature rating (Can be rated to 400°F if required), can be used in conjunction with perforating guns to create a one-trip solution for operations such as double perforate and squeeze.
